Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation is the second largest mini-mill steel producers in North America with annual manufacturing capacity of more than nine million tons of mill finished steel products. Through its vertically integrated network of seventeen mini-mills, seventeen scrap recycling facilities and fifty one downstream operations, Gerdau Ameristeel serves customers throughout the United States and Canada. The company's products are generally sold to steel service centers, steel fabricators, or directly to original equipment manufacturers for use in a variety of industries, including construction, automotive, mining and cellular and electrical transmission. It is found in bridges, highways, stadiums, and commercial and apartment buildings.
