According to Reuters, U.S. technology distributor Arrow Electronics Inc expects recent acquisitions to boost 2011 revenue from Asian markets, outpacing growth in other regions, a top executive said.

The company will see year-over-year growth in the Americas, Europe and Asia, but growth in Asia will be greater than other regions, Chief Financial Officer Paul Reilly told Reuters.

Arrow recently agreed to acquire Nu Horizons Electronic Corp and the RF, Wireless & Power division of Richardson Electronics Ltd to boost its presence in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region.

"Asia represents about 22-25 percent of our global revenue mix and we would be adding some more revenue from these acquisitions. So our mix will go up to 25-27 percent," Reilly said.

  • Sees higher gross margins in 2011
  • Recent deals to add $0.20-$0.25 in 2011
