Canadian Solar Inc. (CSI) designs, manufactures and sells solar module products that convert sunlight into electricity for a variety of uses. CSI is incorporated in Canada and conducts all of its manufacturing operations in China. Products include a range of standard solar modules built to general specifications for use in a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial solar power generation systems. CSI also designs and produces specialty solar modules and products based on customers’ requirements such as solar-powered bus stop lighting, and complete specialty products, such as solar-powered car battery chargers. CSI products are sold primarily under the CSI brand name and are also produced on an original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, basis for customers. CSI also implements solar power development projects, primarily in conjunction with government organizations to provide solar power generation in rural areas of China.
